House Passes Health Care Reform Bill
Although the national health care reform bills, including the one passed by the House of Representatives on November 7 (HR 3962), is not focused on long-term care issues, it does include expanding efforts to bundle post-hospital care into hospital DRGs, increasing transparency of nursing home reporting, testing of a model of medical home visiting, developing a task force on personal care attendant workforce issues, creating a government sponsored national disability insurance program and increasing spending on caregiver support.
