AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization for people 50 and
over. We provide information and resources; advocate on legislative,
consumer, and legal issues; assist members to serve their communities;
and offer a wide range of unique benefits, special products, and
services for our members. These benefits include AARP Web place at
www.aarp.org, AARP the
Magazine and Segunda Juventud, and the monthly AARP Bulletin. Active in
every state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin
Islands, AARP celebrates the attitude that age is just a number and life

Alzheimer's Association

The Alzheimer’s Association is a nonprofit organization driven to
empower and equip persons and communities affected by Alzheimer’s
disease and related disorders with expert information and resources,
compassionate guidance and effective education that improves lives. The
Alzheimer’s Association advocates with and for persons with dementia to
increase access and improve quality of memory care.
Amherst H. Wilder
Foundation
Leni Wilcox, Division Director, Community Services for the Elderly
The Amherst H. Wilder Foundation is a nonprofit health and human
services organization that has served the greater Saint Paul, Minnesota,
area since 1906. Wilder operates dozens of programs that help children
succeed in school, older adults remain independent, troubled youth
create healthy futures, and individuals and families maintain long-term
housing. Wilder is not a grant-making foundation.
Care Providers of Minnesota
Patti Cullen, President & CEO
Care Providers of Minnesota is a statewide non-profit trade association representing over 400 for-profit and non-profit providers of long-term care services including nursing facilities, senior housing, and home- and community-based services. Established in 1947 as a supportive partner to nursing homes, its job then, as it is today, is to serve the needs of long-term care providers and support them in giving their clients the highest quality care. Care Providers of Minnesota empowers its members to achieve excellence through advocacy, education, knowledge, resources and support.
DARTS
Mark Hoisser, President
DARTS provides professionally coordinated home - help services and
transportation for Dakota County, Minn., seniors and their families and
can help them find additional senior services throughout the
Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
ElderCare Rights Alliance
Tom Hyder, Executive Director
The ElderCare Rights Alliance, a non profit advocacy agency founded in
1972, is dedicated to the mission of advancing the principles of justice
and dignity in long-term care through education, advocacy and action.
The ElderCare Rights Alliance operates programs focused on elder
justice, coaching and community education for individuals and their
families receiving care, and nursing home resident and family council
education.
Elderberry Institute
Malcolm Mitchell, Executive Director
The non-profit Elderberry Institute was established as a resource center
to support neighborhood Living at Home / Block Nurse Program community
efforts and extend the Program model to new neighborhoods, towns and
cities.
Hospice
Minnesota
Michele Fedderly, Executive Director
Hospice Minnesota is a statewide organization dedicated to promoting
quality care for people who are dying and their families. Founded in
1980, this nonprofit, membership organization educates the public about
compassionate and competent end-of-life care, advocates for increased
access to hospice and palliative care, and inspires hospice providers to
maintain the highest standards in end-of-life care. Hospice Minnesota
serves as a vital resource to community members, hospice providers and
healthcare professionals by providing education, technical assistance
and community outreach services.
Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota
John Pribyl, Director, Senior Volunteer Programs
Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota began in 1865 when a Lutheran
pastor and his congregation opened an orphanage for children near Red
Wing. Today, Lutheran Social Service helps 100,000 Minnesotans each year
live and work in community with safety, dignity and hope. Through a wide
range of services statewide, we seek to provide safe and supportive
homes for children, counseling to restore health and wellness in
families, community living for people with disabilities, and options
that help seniors develop independence. We see these outcomes as
contributions to the common good.
Minnesota Association of Area Agencies on Aging
Dawn Simonson, Executive Director, Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging
M4A members work at the local, regional, state, and federal levels.
Through the area agencies on aging, M4A provides assistance to seniors,
providers, and communities across the state.
Minnesota Health & Housing Alliance

Minnesota Health & Housing Alliance (MHHA) is a non-profit, statewide
trade association representing faith- and community-based providers of
aging services. MHHA represents the complete continuum of services for
older adults including nursing home care, senior housing with supportive
services, independent senior housing and community based services.
MHHA’s mission is to promote excellence and innovation in older adult
services. MHHA serves its members through advocacy, public information,
education, products and services relating to the aging services field
and networking opportunities.

Care Association

The Minnesota HomeCare Association (MHCA) is
a statewide, non-profit association whose purpose is to promote the
delivery of quality healthcare and supportive services in a variety of
home living environments. The association believes home care should be
an integral part of the health care system, and should be available to
anyone who needs it. MHCA is “the voice” for home care in Minnesota.

The mission of Volunteers of America of Minnesota is to enrich the lives of
our program participants and to make a significant difference in the
communities in which we serve. We seek to empower program participants with
the skills and competencies necessary for age appropriate independence and
self-reliance. We seek to strengthen communities and foster within them the
capacity to support their members in achieving this independence and
self-reliance.
