Each year, the Minnesota Leadership Council on Aging hosts a powerful gathering of statewide leaders across the aging sector. 

This year, our Summit builds upon the collective power of our members and many partners committed to working together to elevate aging in the 2023 Legislative Session and beyond. 
 
In the face of great challenges, we call on Minnesota leaders like you as we prepare to scale the 2023 Legislative Session. Working together, we seek to ELEVATE aging as a state priority!

What lies ahead for aging issues in the 2023 Legislative Session? From the impacts of the 2022 Election to the major issues framing public affairs in our state, you'll take home insights about our new political environment from Blois Olson. As the Principal of Fluence Media, Blois is uniquely positioned as one of the Midwest’s most sought after political analysists. CEUs

General certificates of attendance for each day are linked below. This program has been approved for a total of 6 hours by the Minnesota Board of Executives for Long Term Services and Supports (approval MN23-0054) and designed to meet the CEU approval criteria for the Minnesota Board of Nursing. Minnesota Leadership Council on Aging is an approved provider of continuing education by the Minnesota Board of Social Work. Participants could view live sessions to earn up to 6 CEUs.

Cancelations

All registration cancelations needed to be made via email to adam@mnlcoa.org and are subject to a $20 processing fee. No refunds for cancelations made after November 28, 2022 or for no-shows. Minnesota Leadership Council on Aging reserves the right to cancel this event.

Dress in whatever way makes you comfortable. Business casual is suggested.

Recordings of this program will not be available.


Health and Safety Requirements

  • Vaccinations are recommended for people 6 months or older. Boosters are recommended for people age 5 years or older. Attendees are encouraged, but not required, to be vaccinated and boosted.
  • Stay home if you are sick. If you have symptoms of COVID-19 or test positive, stay home and away from others (isolate). People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported – ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. Anyone can have mild to severe symptoms. Possible symptoms include: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.
  • When the community level is high, everyone should wear a mask in indoor public settings. Currently the community level in Ramsey County where Shoreview Community Center is located is currently: MEDIUM.
  • People who are immunocompromised or at higher risk of severe illness and those who are around them should consider wearing a mask even when the community level is medium or low.
  • You can always choose to wear a mask when it makes you feel safer, regardless of your individual risk or the CDC COVID-19 community level.
